How it works
From the first draft to the last instalment clearing.
A proposal is a job that runs for weeks after it is signed. Here is the whole of it, step by step.
Start from AI, a template, or an old proposal.
Draft with AI
Describe the job in one line and get back a title, summary, scope list and timeline. The AI never touches your price or your terms.
Templates
Fill these in once. Every new proposal starts with them:
- Your standard agreement terms
- Your usual price and timeline
- How long it stays open
- Your scope list, unless the AI writes one
Duplicate
Copy any proposal into a new draft. The words come across. Signatures and payments do not.
They get a link, not a login.
Copy proposal link
Copy the link. Send it your way.
View as client
See exactly what they will see.
Withdraw, fix, re-send
Spotted a mistake? Pause the link, fix it, send it again. Same proposal.
Opens it and reads
Opens in any browser. No app, no sign-up. They can see how long they have.
You can see that they read it.
Engagement
Four things, each with a date:
- Opened: how many times, and when last
- Viewed pricing
- Viewed agreement
- Signed
Just reads it
They do not click anything, and they never see the tracking.
They can say yes, no, or not yet.
Approve, request changes, or decline
- Approve: accepts it, and opens signing
- Request changes: sends you a note saying what they'd like different
- Decline: turns it down, with a reason if they want to give one
Their note lands on the proposal itself
Not in your inbox. Edit, save, and it goes back to them.
Expiry does the chasing
After your date, the buttons stop working. Nobody can sign a stale offer.
They sign, and you get proof.
Types their name. On purpose.
They type their full name and email, then tick a box to agree. Three steps, not one click.
Both sides get the PDF
A PDF is made at signing and emailed to you both. Resend it any time.
And the evidence behind it
Kept with the agreement, readable in the audit trail:
- Who and when
- Name, email, timestamp, and the IP address it came from.
- What they agreed to
- The exact consent wording shown on screen, stored word for word.
- Document fingerprintExample
- SHA-256 · 9f2c…4b7e
- Trusted timestamp
- RFC 3161, from an independent authority, whenever it is reachable at signing.
The work changes. The agreement changes with it.
Deliverables, ticked as you go
Tick off the work as you finish it. They see the ticks too.
Watches it happen
Same link as before. They can see progress without asking.
When the job changes, and it will
Send a change: what is added, what it costs, how much longer. They approve it and the agreement updates. No second contract, no “as discussed on the call”.
Every payment tracked until it is all in.
Every instalment, with its status
Deposit, milestones, remainder: each one awaiting, reported, or paid. Mark one received yourself, or confirm one your client says they have sent.
Pays, then says so
Pay now opens your own payment link: Stripe, PayPal, Square, whatever you use. Paid another way? They flag it, you confirm.
Paperwork on demand
Either of you can download the agreement or a payment statement, any time.
Ending it, with the record kept.
Terminate, and keep the record
End a signed agreement or an approved change. Nothing is deleted, unpaid charges are cancelled, and your client is told.
The whole relationship, in one feed
One list per client: sent, opened, signed, changed, paid. All dated.
Also included
The quiet parts that keep it tidy
- Clients
- A client list, and a status: active, past or archived. No clutter.
- Protected records
- Delete a client who never signed anything; everyone else archives, so a signed agreement survives a stray click.
- Private notes
- A scratchpad per client, never shown to them.
- Export paid invoices
- A spreadsheet of payments received, for your bookkeeping.
- Integrations
- A web address your CRM or project tool listens on, so it hears when a proposal is signed or a deliverable is ticked off.
- Your data
- Export everything as a zip: proposals, clients, invoices and change orders as spreadsheets, plus every signed agreement as a PDF.
Try it yourself
This is the same page your client gets. Approve, sign, and pay through it - then scroll to “Changes” to see what happens when the job grows. Nothing you do here is saved or sent anywhere.

- Proposal approved
- Agreement signed
- Deposit confirmed
- Project underway
A five-week engagement covering discovery, design, and handover.
Scope
- Discovery and content audit
- Design system and page layouts
- Build, QA, and launch
Not shown here: splitting a project across several milestones instead of a deposit, and a downloadable payment statement listing every charge.
When the job grows, so does the agreement
Clients ask for more once work is underway. Add the extra scope and price to the same signed proposal - they approve it with one click, and a new invoice appears on your dashboard automatically.
